While some customers prioritize maximum speed, the truth is that overly high speeds can compromise quality. Instead, aligning sealant application speed with the insulating glass production line speed yields optimal results.

From our experience, a speed of around 20 meters per minute works best. Here’s why: sealant relies on pressure to fully fill the application area. If the speed is too fast, pressure drops, leading to issues like white lines—small flaws that can render glass unqualified, as one of our strictest long-term clients insists, rejecting any glass with even minor white lines. This clearly shows that excessive speed harms product quality.
